Is Your Company Big, Why Not Use Local Keywords to Your Advantage?

Last week we wrote about gearing company websites for social sharing, now we want to share a vision for how larger organizations can benefit from their size. The national website may be doing a reasonable job of pulling leads, but you could be missing leads from the keywords for each location where your business has a presence. In other words, if you're selling widgets in Philadelphia, Miami, San Diego, Kansas, etc., then you need to have a website pulling in leads from those locations as well. OK, you say, I think I've heard of that. They are called replicated websites and they're like clones of the main website, except with localized keywords, like "Philadelphia widgets."
This is close to the solution that we use with clients, but ours is far more complete. Replicated or cloned sites don't get indexed by the search engines and duplicate content will get your site in trouble with Google, which is not a good idea. What we do is much better. We provide fresh content weekly for your localized sites and customize it for local search - without you lifting a finger. Most companies are so busy with their core competencies of designing new and better widgets, selling and delivering them that they don't have time for weekly website updates and blogging.
We strategize, write content, gain approvals and then distribute via all of your localized sites. Since we have refined our processes, we can do it for less than $600 per yr. per location. Just build that into the budget of your local stores and problem solved. More leads, more business, less work. A winning formula.
