(Penny_Crow_Accolades_PR)Penny Crow, RHIA is an experienced health information administrator with a record of consistent accomplishment in directing projects, quality management, risk management, health information management operations, and healthcare administration.  She has extensive experience in revenue cycle management, compliance, documentation education programs, electronic record implementation projects, strategic planning, and operational assessments.  Mrs. Crow is one of the few RHIAs in the country with both hospital and practice management experience.

Her expertise and strategies have evolved through a career of leading and directing healthcare organizations through the ever changing regulations and standards.  She has managed rural size hospitals and practices to large hospitals and large physician groups.  She has been consulting since 1996.  Mrs. Crow has a personal interest in healthcare legislation which has resulted in interactions with state and national healthcare initiatives.  She is Past President of NMHIMA where participated in several Hill Day events promoting the ICD10 adoption and migration.

As the CEO of Operational Strategies, Mrs. Crow leads the strategy team providing strategic counsel, planning and operational support for companies and organizations looking for intentional change.  She created the PILLAR© to teach leaders to think objectively about their organizations in order to apply effective strategy.

Mrs. Crow has consulted with organizations such as Kaiser Permanente, Group Health, University of New Mexico Hospital, Adventist Health System, DePuy Orthopedics and AT&T. A Central Texas native, she holds a BS in health information management from Texas State University.  She is a Registered Health Information Administrator.  Her MS work is in health administration and Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Capella University.

Mrs. Crow is currently active in her community serving as President of the Board for Emerson Foundation, a non-profit serving children and the strategist for Hays Caldwell Women's Center.  She is a founding member of the Austin Chapter COO Forum and has recently become a Vistage Trusted Advisor.

Her professional affiliations include AHIMA, TXHIMA, MGMA, CCMGMA, HIMSS, Austin HIMSS, American Management Association, Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychologists, and SHRM.
